Today I'm sharing some fun layouts from May 2014 and rolling into June. This month so many wonderful things happened. We went to the farmer's market, we had our one year anniversary and I had a famous movie director favorite and retweet one of my tweets. Pretty much a great week/month and some colorful layouts to match!
I'm pretty much super in love with this layout. Especially the right side. Everything came together so well. The only thing it's missing is real stitching.... maybe one day I'll learn how to use a sewing machine. Until then, this is all I've got.
On the layout below, the colors in the photos are really dark and dramatic which is usually not my go to, but I LOVED it in this spread and the photos themselves are amazing. Documenting a busy week at work and one of the girls I nanny, as well as some things happening around the house.
Rolling into June, the colors I was using on this spread coordinated with the layouts above. Lots of green and blue during this season of plants, gardening, work, and such. I documented a lot of the crafts I was doing in the pages below. In 50 years from now I'll be able to look back and remember 2014 was the year I wrote so many pretty snail mail letters for international penpals haha.
I repeated the element of hidden journaling on a tag tucked behind a card or photo on a few of these pages. And the color green was a new one for me, woven throughout these pages. Usually I avoid green paper in my layouts. What colors do you tend to stick to in your layouts? Which colors do you wish you tried more often?
