December 2017 Scrapbook Layouts

One of my favorite ways to practice self-love, especially in the winter, is to spend time in my craft room, making scrapbook layouts. I love retreating from the cold air outside and getting cozy with some lovely memories I want to document and keep forever. Plus the whole creative part of it makes my heart super happy. I've had the chance to do that this month and even filmed two process videos for you!

The first layout I'm sharing is of a day at the Charlotte Christmas village market which I went to with a friend of mine. You can see exactly how this scrapbook layout comes together in the YouTube process video. Here are some pictures of the final result:

The second scrapbooking layout I am sharing today is this gorgeous layout of my kitten and I. It has more of a winter theme than a Christmas one but the journaling is about how he is my favorite Christmas present this year, so it fits in the same theme. Plus, I used the same Crate Paper collections to create both of these pages so they go together quite well even though they are very different. You can see the process video for this layout here.

January 2017 Project Life Flip Through

As we finish off the 2017 year and start thinking about how we will memory keep next year, I thought it would be fun to share with you how I did Project Life in 2017! This year I've been so busy with school and such that I haven't shared any of my 2017 Project Life album with you yet. So here's a flip through of January in my 2017 Project Life album.

Make sure to watch the YouTube video to hear the format I chose for 2017, any changes I made, and see a flip through of my January pages. If you see these photos and want to know more about a certain technique I used or a product I used, definitely check out the video as I go over all of that in there.

I hope you love this peak at my 2017 Project Life album and all the pages I made for January. Make sure to check out the YouTube video flip through and explanation of my format this year and things I did new this year! (Hint, I switched to a new size, went to weekly instead of monthly, included gorgeous vellum pages, and more!)

100 Days of Scrapbooking Days 11-20

Earlier in October I shared my first installment of my 100 Days of Scrapbooking challenge. Today I'm sharing the next 10 days of layouts with you, complete with photos and a video of all the layouts I made!

I am absolutely loving this challenge because it has given me the perfect time to use up all the scrapbooking supplies I've had in my craft room for a long time but was waiting for the "perfect time to use." Well, now is the perfect time! I'm also loving how this challenge is challenging me to try new techniques I've never tried before. I've made pages that take 5 minutes to put together and I've made pages that take 5 hours to put together. It's been such a fun way to push my creative boundaries and grow in my skill.

If you want an in-depth look at each layout I made and what new techniques I tried for days 11-20 of the 100 Days of Scrapbooking challenge, check out my YouTube video.
