Mixing Traditional Scrapbooking with Project Life

I love using Project Life to record my everyday memories but sometimes I want to make a traditional scrapbooking layout. It's a great way to stretch my creative muscles and to highlight my favorite photos from an event. But what happens if you do traditional scrapbooking and Project Life at the same time? Today I am sharing with you guys how I am mixing that traditional scrapbook layout into my project life album to make a hybrid memory keeping system!

Exciting, Right?

About this layout:

To keep the pages cohesive, I used a lot of the same elements from my traditional scrap booking page in my project life layout. A black and white color pallet for both, as well as pops of blue in the project life spread to match the blue in Claire's collar from the traditional pages. If I would have added a bit more blue to the traditional layouts I'm sure the pages would have fit together even better than they already do.

All of the blue filler cards I made myself using paper scraps I had in my stash and cutting them down to size. I also used a lot of Heidi Swapp elements on this project life layout to create a cohesive style between the traditional scrap booking and the coordinating project life pages. I added in a couple of black and white filler cards from the project life midnight edition core kit and some thickers and called it a day!

Do you do more than one form of memory keeping? If so, do you combine your scrapbooking and project life albums or do you keep them separately? I love how combining them saves space by using the same album for everything!

Happy Scrapping lovely! Have a great weekend.
