Halloween Outgoing Mail Tag Share

Oh my gosh. Today I have a treat for you! I made a gorgeous Halloween tag mail for one of my penpals and I’m sharing all the details and inspiration photos.

Halloween is usually not very exciting for me. As an adult who doesn’t drink or go to parties or have kids or watch scary movies, this holiday usually just means spending ton of money on candy for the trick-or-treaters and not doing much of anything else. The last couple of years, it started to feel like I was missing out on the celebration and fun. So this year, I was determined to change that! One of the many ways I am changing it this year is by creating really pretty and fun Halloween paper crafting projects because you know I like to make.

Here’s a look at a Halloween tag mail flip that I recently sent to my penpal and fellow Wild Hare Kits design team member, Tazhiana! There’s a video flip through and tons of photos for your Pinterest and inspriation!

Harry Potter World Mini Album Scrapbook

Going to Harry Potter World last year was one of the highlights of my life. Seriously. It's right up there with my baby sisters being born, the day I adopted my dog, and the day I launched my Hello, Gorgeous class. It was absolutely incredible. It was so inspiring and gorgeous and amazing, I can't put into words how much I loved it. So I'll let these pictures of my Harry Potter World mini album, scrapbooking the day, do the talking. I'm sure you'll be able to see all my positive vibes, memories, and gratitude shine through the pages I made. Here it is!

You can see the full flip through of these pages and get more information on how I made them by watching the YouTube video I made. Catch that here. I love these mini album pages so much. I think they reflect the gorgeous energy I felt all day at the park, and the pages turned out stunning and interesting.

Let me know what you think of this mini album down below! Leave a comment if you loved it, if you've been to HP world, or if you want to go. I had been wanting to go since it opened years and years ago. Finally going was a dream come true and this album captures all those feelings. I hope you make some beautiful memories today and record them.

Sisters 4x4 Mini Album

My baby sister is one of my favorite people in the entire universe. So what does a memory keeper do to honor that relationship? Make a mini album of me and my baby sister of course!

So I printed off my all time favorite photos of me and my baby sister and got to work creating this gorgeous 4x4 Project Life mini album scrapbook. Here are all the photos of how this chunky, adorable album turned out. Let me know what you think of this mini album in the comments at the end of this post!

Products used- 4x4 Gold Album, Dear Lizzy 6x6 Paper Pad Similar, Gold Glitter Phrase Thickers, Black Phrase Thickers, Buttons, Dear Lizzy Stickers, Epson Photo Printer.

YAY for getting all the memories printed out and put into albums. Tangible photographs bring me so much more joy than digital versions that just sit on a computer and never get viewed. What about you- do you prefer digital or physical photographs for reliving your favorite memories?

Hilton Head Island Mini Album

Last September, a few friends and I took a road trip out to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina to spend the weekend at a beach resort. While it ended up thunder storming most of our time there, we still had some fun adventures that I couldn't wait to make into a mini album! This mini album has so many gorgeous pages inside, there will be two blog posts to show you everything.

On the cover, I used thick chipboard and covered it with white cardstock. I added a strip of silver glitter paper to the edge and created my title using Dear Lizzy alphabet thickers. I used a hole punch and bound the album with three metal rings. I love how simple it is and those pretty pastel Dear Lizzy thickers are so adorable! It's so charming how they coordinate but they don't match.

Vellum pages were a must in this album. I loved the fun element that the see through vellum has. You can just see a peak at the goodness underneath of it! I especially loved this printed vellum with dictionary definitions for various words beginning with "P," including "playful," "plain," and "peaceful." These first few photos document our resort and some of the gorgeous beach views.

There are sever pages that have fun photo inserts in between the pages and for every photo you flip over, there's another on the back. I made them different sizes and positioned them differently (top, bottom, etc) so that it kept things fun and kept the "peek-a-boo" game going where you could see more fun things were underneath each photo.

In these pages, you can see photos from our adventures riding around the island when we rented bikes. My friends and I also love to go out to eat so you'll see a lot of our culinary adventures throughout the album.

I love how very "How I Met Your Mother" we all look in this first page! We've got that pose down perfectly! All huddle around the table and snap and photo. We found a local restaurant that was super delicious so we actually went back the next night and all tried something new again.

Including memorabilia is an important part of memory keeping for me. I absolutely loved these branded napkins from the restaurant that ended up being our favorite place we at during our whole trip. I don't keep memory boxes of memorabilia- too much clutter for me, so I include the memorabilia in my memory keeping albums with the pictures they go with.

I used my own handwriting a lot throughout the album. I included my handwriting by using a black pen for journaling and my favorite technique was using a white paint penon photos and vellum to hand write my titles. The result is so pretty an it makes my minimalist heart happy.

As mentioned in the first post, it thunder stormed most of the weekend we were there. Unfortunately we had no idea there was a tropical storm coming that weekend when we planned the trip a couple of months in advance. While we only went to the pool once (as it was storming the rest of our time there,) I made sure to take a few photos before we got rained out. (Which was minutes after getting in the pool, sad face.)

Lots of double sided photo inserts. Friends who take silly photos with me are the best! More of the patterned vellum linked above was used here. I like to take the same patterned paper and include it throughout the entire album. I like that even though every page tells a different story and the whole weekend included all different kinds of adventures, that having some of the same patterned papers and color schemes throughout the entire album keeps the album very cohesive.

Another memorabilia piece I added to the album was my room key for the room we stayed in at our resort. Memorabilia is the best to include in mini albums. I also used a lot of full page photos, especially towards the end of the album.

I included a lot of white space in this album and I didn't embellish the pages very much. White space will be your best friend, especially when you want your photos + journaling to be the main focus. Minimal embellishing was the key to finishing this album quickly. What techniques do you use to keep your memory keeping process fast and easy when you're in a rush to finish a project?

Hope you enjoyed this peak into my vacation and the resulting mini album I made!
